Escapist

I dabble in escapism,
The mysteries of the mind,
The sights and sounds astound me,
Blind me with bright lights,
There but not,
I am a real ghost,
The sheet and string,
Are just a hoax.

I sneak into my mind,
Twenty-four hours of a day,
I hide within my thoughts give nothing away,
Put up a fake front,
Make everyone think I'm fine,
When even I have no clue,
How I truly feel inside.

I am a true escapist,
Master of running away,
Hiding in the depths,
Of my own mine,
Questioning what's around me,
But letting no one inside.
